BACKGROUND Many of the skills and techniques that you
will learn come from WW II methods. Most notable of these methods are
what was taught by Fairbairn and Applegate. Fairbairn and Applegate
instructed the OSS (the forerunner of the CIA). You'll learn about
methods that were taught to them. These methods were also taught to the
"Devil's Brigade" (the world's first special forces unit) via
Dermot O'Neil (a student of Fairbairn's). You'll learn techniques taught at the
mysterious "Camp X". Camp X was located in Oshawa (30 mi.
east of Toronto), Canada. Camp X was located on 280 acres of land along Lake
Ontario. It was a school for "secret agents". It is probably THE
greatest secret of WW II. Even today it is almost impossible to know just
what took place there. We do know that they were trained in code breaking,
demolitions, silent killing, close quarters combat, and anything else that
would aid them on their missions. Fairbairn was sent over by the
British to instruct the silent killing and the close quarters combat. After
the war Camp X was bulldozed into the ground and nearly all records were
destroyed. The Prime Minister of Canada and the RCMP never knew the camp
existed! Today the secrecy continues, a fact that camp instructors would
probably be most proud of. Men and women came from all parts of the
world to learn to be agents. After their training they were inserted into
Germany, Italy and other European countries to fulfil their assignments- this
could range from simple spying to sabotage or assassination. What was
unique about these agents was- they were not armed like soldiers. If
they were to be stopped and found to be armed they would instantly have their
"cover" exposed, so many times these men and women needed to rely
upon their bare hands- much like today's citizen who is unarmed. Fairbairn's skills came from the violent
back alleys of Shanghai, China. During the 1930's the waterfront city of
Shanghai was one of the roughest cities in the world. Just name the evil or
the crime and Shanghai had it! Thugs, drug dealers, theives, kidnappers,
rapists, gangs and murderers, Shanghai was filled with them. You too can learn the same skills that Fairbairn learned in those bloody back alleys. Canadian Combato can teach it all to you. |
